Incredible fundraisers ride 17,000 kilometres for veterans

September 24 2026

Right now, 34 cyclists from the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and its industry partners are riding from Dunkirk to Waterloo on an extraordinary five-day ride to raise money for the Veterans’ Foundation®.

By the time they reach the Waterloo Battlefield on Friday (September 25th), each rider will have covered around 500km.

Between them, that’s an incredible 17,000 kilometres following a route through places where generations of servicemen fought, served and lost their lives.

With several days already in the saddle and some tough miles still ahead, we’d love you to get behind them.

The money they raise will help us fund charities across the UK providing vital support to veterans and their families – from mental health and wellbeing services to help with housing and homelessness, employment, financial hardship and isolation.

So, while the riders take on the miles, your donation can help make sure veterans and their families get the vital support they need.
