Veterans' Foundation® funding helps life-changing charity support more people in the Armed Forces community

September 29 2026

People in the Armed Forces community facing isolation, anxiety or stress will continue to have somewhere to turn thanks to new funding from the Veterans’ Foundation®.

The funding will help Norfolk-based charity The Bridge for Heroes provide practical, personal support to veterans, serving personnel and their families.

It will also strengthen the charity’s community services and help people access support when they need it.

Helen Taylor, CEO of The Bridge for Heroes, said: “This funding will make a real difference to the people we support.

"We know that asking for help is not always easy, which is why it is so important that people have somewhere they can turn, where they feel listened to and understood.”

Helen thanked the Veterans’ Foundation® for recognising the value of the charity’s work.

“Their support will help us reach more people and continue building a stronger, more connected Armed Forces community," she continued.

The Bridge for Heroes encourages anyone in the Armed Forces community who is struggling, or simply needs someone to talk to, to get in touch.

Its aim is to offer a welcoming place where people can find support, feel less alone and better face the challenges in their lives.
