The Veterans’ Foundation has awarded Bristol Bears Foundation a £30,000 grant to launch a new rugby programme supporting veterans.
Running until April 2029, the three-year funding package will enable the Foundation to deliver Vets Rugby Hub, providing twice-weekly walking rugby sessions that will help veterans stay active, improve wellbeing and build meaningful social connections in a supportive community environment.
The new programme forms part of Bristol Bears Foundation’s Beyond The Bear strategy, which uses the power of rugby to create healthier, stronger and more connected communities across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
