Who took home £7,000 in the April Veterans' Lottery draw?

May 20 2025

We are delighted to announce that Danute from St Leonards-On-Sea has won big after pocketing the £7,000 first prize in the April Veterans’ Lottery prize draw.

The second prize of £3,500 went to Donna Woollett, from Dartford, Kent, who regards our veterans and those who are currently serving as an 'inspiration to us all.'

She’s been playing the Veterans’ Lottery for several years now, and the 67-year-old feels very proud to know that her £10 per month has helped the Veterans’ Foundation raise in excess of £25 million since 2016.

“What our armed forces do is nothing short of incredible and so selfless and inspirational, she said.

"I’m not from a military background, but they are all heroes in my eyes and I feel it's our duty as a nation to support them as much as we can.

"We wouldn't have what we have today if it wasn't for their service, dedication and sacrifice.

"It's so sad to hear stories of their struggles and I wouldn't be able to watch or listen without doing something to help."

Donna admitted that she wants to spend some quality time with her two younger sisters, so she's using some of her winnings to pay for a holiday.

She's the first to admit that she's never thought about winning the Veterans' Lottery.

"I've never even considered winning anything since I joined up to give my £10 per month, as it's always about doing what I can to help the Veterans' Foundation provide support for the charities that do such incredible things," Donna continued.
