Busch becomes VF charity partner

April 17 2025

The Veterans’ Foundation has been chosen by Busch Vacuum Solutions as their charity partner for this year.

Busch is the market leader in vacuum technology for food packaging with around 200 UK-based employees.

It is part of Busch Group - a global business of more than 8,000 people.

Its UK employees voted unanimously to raise funds for the Veterans’ Foundation as part of its annual fundraising initiative.

They kicked off their efforts recently by raffling a giant Easter Egg, which raised an impressive £200 and was won by Joe Maclaren, Field Service Manager.

Employees also took part in a Grand National horse racing sweepstake, raising additional funds that were divided between prizes and donations for the VF.

“Our employees love to give back to worthy causes, so we were delighted when the Veterans’ Foundation was chosen for this year’s fundraising programme,” said HR Officer, Francesca Anderson.

“The charity was nominated by someone who has affiliations with the military and once we made contact, we felt it was a good initiative to get behind. We hope to raise as much money as we can, to enable the VF to carry on its good work.”

The organisation has other fundraising projects planned in the near future, including a bake off in May and sweepstakes for upcoming sporting events.

“We are always thrilled when organisations choose to make us their charity partner, and are especially grateful to Busch for supporting us,” said the Veterans’ Foundation’s Partnership and Fundraising Manager, Sarah Elliott.

“We are tremendously grateful for the time and effort put in by Busch employees to raise funds on our behalf as I’m sure are the charities that we support.”
