Grant-giving charity, the Veterans’ Foundation has appointed Stewart Macgregor as its new Head of Grants.
Stewart has more than 20 years’ experience in the third sector, having worked across the social enterprise sector and most recently within Scottish Enterprise as an Inclusive Business Models Specialist.
He previously held a senior position with The Robertson Trust, the largest independent grant-maker in Scotland, where he most recently worked as an Expert Consultant supporting the development of its ‘Funder Plus’ offer
It was at The Robertson Trust where he began his grant-making career as an Assessment Officer in 2014, before progressing to become a Funding Manager in 2016, and has held various charity and governance roles in the intervening years.
Stewart currently serves as Vice Chair of the Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS), where he is also Chair of its Audit and Risk Committee.
He has an undergraduate degree in Community Education and an MSc in Applied Professional Studies (Education and Social Research) from the University of Dundee.
