Team Endeavour Racing

Why does the Veterans' Foundation support Team Endeavour Racing?

Team Endeavour Racing was set up in 2014 to use the power of sport in the recovery of wounded, injured and sick serving personnel and veterans.

The intention is to provide a foundation within a stimulating environment that can to help with future employment, training and education. Peer mentoring and network partners aid in this journey.

Using entry-level power-boating ‘Thundercat Racing’, the charity provides a team environment that aims to develop, inspire and challenge team members during what can be a difficult time transitioning from the British Armed Forces.

These boats have a driver and co-driver working as a team, with training taking place in Southampton and racing hosted on coastal venues around Bournemouth, Newquay and Plymouth.

Those who have participated in Team Endeavour Racing often report a sense of achievement and bond with the team that is similar to the experiences felt within the military.

The charity is supported by volunteers with service backgrounds including its own wounded, injured and sick personnel, together with veterans.
